For over 40 years, Princeton Driving School prides itself in being called Central Jersey’s Leader in Driver Training. We have been teaching new and experienced drivers the skills they need for a lifetime of safe driving.
We have learned what it takes to help drivers of all ages and all walks of life. We offer various methods of training, an experienced staff and flexible scheduling to accommodate virtually every student’s needs.
So whether you are a 16 year old going for your permit or a seasoned adult driver looking to enhance or refresh your driving skills, we have just the program and schedule for you.

Choosing Princeton Driving School means you have chosen the best school to teach you the safe driving skills needed to not just pass the road test, but to become a confident, courteous, and safe driver.
Our vehicles are 4- door automatic Honda Civics installed with a dual brake and mirrors. The vehicles are maintained routinely to sustain safety and are clean and smoke free.
Lessons can be scheduled seven days per week to accommodate your busy school, work or sport schedules. Our office is open Monday to Friday from 10am to 6pm. We also have an answering machine to leave a message after business hours or during business hours if busy with other callers. All calls will be returned.
Our office staff is knowledgeable, friendly and courteous and prepared to help you with any of your driving needs.
Our instructors are our employees
Our instructors are NJ MVC certified, experienced professionals with background checks and fingerprints on file with state and federal law enforcement agencies.
Our cars are owned and registered by Princeton Driving School. For your added protection, we are insured beyond NJ MVC's minimum standard for liability.
Daniel Gaskill
In Memoriam
Daniel Gaskill was the Owner of Princeton Driving School since 1983 until his death in December 2019. . For over a decade, Dan had been the President of the Driving School Association of New Jersey (DSANJ Dan was a tireless advocate of driver safety and a champion of raising standards in the driving school industry. As such, Dan was a member of the Governor’s Teen Driving Safety Commission which issued a report to Governor Corzine in 2008. Many of the Commission’s recommendations were applauded by the driver safety community as well as concerned parents and students. The Commission’s report was used as a basis for the most recent changes to the New Jersey Graduated Licensing Law.
Honored to continue his legacy, his wife Laura and dedicated staff have been operating the school successfully based on Dan’s teaching methodology, business foundation and integrity.
Laura Videtti
Owner
Laura Videtti is owner of Princeton Driving School. She began her career as an instructor while a college student in 1985. She has since graduated with a Bachelor’s degree from the College of NJ and a Masters Degree from Rutgers University. For 20 years she taught the driver education program at The Lawrenceville School. She is a Platinum member of the American Driver and Traffic Safety Education Association (ADTSEA) and is the current Treasurer of the Driving School Association of New Jersey (DSANJ).
When not working, she enjoys going to Yankee games, visiting her sister and her family in North Carolina and spending time on Virginia’s Eastern Shore on the Chesapeake Bay- reading, fishing, boating and relaxing.
Richard Knapp
Senior Instructor
Richard Knapp is one of our full time instructors. He teaches both behind the wheel to novice teen and adult students and conducts classroom defensive driving seminars at area high schools, in our office and for our corporate clients. Richard also assists in the training of our instructors. Additionally, Richard helps prepare young adults at Trenton’s Youth Corp to pass the written exam in both group and individual tutoring lessons. Richard also conducts driving evaluations for seniors requiring re-exams or individuals recovering from disabling illness or injury such as strokes.
Richard and his wife, Kim live in Southampton Township, NJ. They have 7 children and a foster daughter and 10 grandchildren.
Richard was born and raised in Trenton, NJ and is a graduate of Trenton Central High School, the NJ State Police Academy, Community College of the Air Force and many more schools.
As a young boy, he was a charter member of the Navy League cadets, went on to serve in the Naval Reserve for six years and the New Jersey Air National Guard for 25 years. He retired with an Honorable Discharge with a total of 31 plus years. Service was during Viet Nam, the first Gulf War, Bosnia Conflict and Drug Interdiction in South America.
He spent over 35 years in public service in New Jersey, as a Trenton Firefighter and Police Officer with the Hainesport Township Police Department where he retired at the rank of Chief of Police.
“I feel that my greatest contribution is working for the Princeton Driving School as a field and Classroom instructor. One of the joys in life is teaching our young people to not only drive safely but understand the Motor Vehicle laws of our State. And hopefully my contribution will help keep our youth and roads safer for everyone”
Kevin Raike
Office Manager/Instructor
Kevin Raike, a life-long resident of Ewing Township helps manage our office and is an instructor also. Kevin teaches behind-the-wheel driving to novice teen and adults, teaches our classroom defensive driving course and has taught group instruction to pass the written exam to the Trenton Youth Corp. students. He works full time for the Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission but when not working, Kevin enjoys spending time with family and friends.
Kevin Ding
Instructor
If driving was an art, Kevin Ding would like to think himself the “Leonardo Da Vinci of driving.” Kevin works full time for Princeton Driving School and wants his students to be confident in their ability to be good drivers. Signaling and being a defensive driver are key in being safe.
Joel Rosario
Instructor
Joel is one of our part time instructors. He is a full time physical education teacher at Trenton Central high school and teaches the drivers education course there as well. When not in the classroom or behind the wheel, you can find him on the football field coaching or enjoying the outdoors
Ron Sanasac
Instructor
Ron is one of our part time instructors. He is a full time Health and Physical Education Teacher at Trenton Central High School and teaches drivers education there as well. When not in the classroom or behind the
wheel, you can find him spending time with his wife and two young sons.Stephen Cirullo
Instructor
Stephen Cirullo is a full time Physical Education teacher in Mercer County and teaches for us during the summer. He teaches the classroom driver education course at The Pennington School during the Fall and Spring semesters. When not teaching Stephen officiates lacrosse and enjoys traveling with his family.
