Getting to Tony’s Garage is a little
more complicated than merely jumping in your car and driving
there… you actually can start out that way… but
then the real Island adventure begins… you see Tony’s
Garage is actually on a real ISLAND known as Put In Bay in
the middle of Lake Erie… and there are only 5 ways we
know of to get you to the Island… we will take you from
the least expensive to the most expensive they are:

1. Swim…
- Yes this will be the least expensive way to get to
the Island… but unless you are Caroline Gertrude
Aderle… The first woman to swim the English Channel…

2. Miller Boat Line
- is a ferry service that you catch off the point of
Catawba Island north of Pt. Clinton, OH – you
can even bring your car, camper or boat with you if
you so desire. For complete information on pricing and

3. Jet Express
- The Jet claims to be the fastest way to Put
In Bay in their specially designed Catamaran vessel.
They leave from downtown Pt. Clinton, OH and they only
take passengers. For complete information on pricing

4. Airport
– Put in Bay does have a nice little airport and
if you know someone who has a small private place they
can contact the Put In Bay Airport at 419-285-3371 for
information about flying in and out, etc… There
is also a plane service out of Sandusky or Pt. Clinton
that can take you to and from the Island known as Griffing
Island Airlines and for their rates and information
please call 419-734-5400 or 419-734-3149.
* Special note: Put In Bay is only a daylight to dark
airport and does not accept night arrivals or departures.
5. Private
Boat – Listed this as the most expensive…
only because boats are expensive toys as you well know
if you own one…absolutely probably one of the
best ways to come to the Island and experience a total
Put In Bay experience though… we are a sailors
paradise for certain! For information on downtown dock

take trolleys, taxis or simply walk to Tony’s and our

your back to the Boardwalk, docks and the bay looking at the
